A tribute to a popular local busker is due to take place in a popular Colchester Pub.

Paul Foster passed away on 18th July 2018 after suffering a stroke. Paul was a well-known face around Colchester and could regularly be heard playing in the Town Centre.

A number of tributes have been posted for Paul around the Town, with one calling him a “true Colchester legend”.

A music tribute event has been arranged for Paul, to take place at the Victoria Inn, North Station Road, from 3pm on Sunday 19th August.

The event, called ‘Busking and BBQ’, invites any musician of any capability to go along and perform at the pub and “raise a glass and raise the roof”, with all proceeds raised from the barbecue going to the Stroke Association and the Stroke Unit at Colchester Hospital.

Paul’s funeral will take place on Friday 17th August 2018 at 2.45pm at Colchester Crematorium, followed by a wake at the Odd One Out on Mersea Road. There will be a memorial service at 1pm at St James the Less church on Priory Street.
