The 2nd Brightlingsea Food & Drink Festival is just a few weeks away and will once again be showcasing the best local food and drink suppliers; alongside a great range of international street food, arts, crafts and gifts.
This year will feature nine Real Ales from three local breweries and the Gin Rummy cocktail cart. For those who prefer something with more bubbles, there will also be a Prosecco bar and range of alcohol free soft drinks.
Organiser Will Jenkins wants the event to be a great value day out for families.
“We’ve kept the entry price really low again this year at £2.50 for adults and kids free”, said Will.”We want everyone to come and browse the market for some artisan produce or relax with some food and listen to the live music.
“We only book one quality stall for each type of food and give half price pitch fees for Brightlingsea based businesses. Local charities get a free pitch too.
“All our site equipment and staff come from the Colchester area, including marquees, security, generators, etc., because we really wanted to make this a locally loyal event”, he said.
The event will take place over the last weekend in August on Promenade Way.
Friday 24th August 5pm-10pm will feature ‘The Free Appetiser’ with a small selection of what’s to come over the weekend.
The main event will take place on Saturday 25th from 11am until 6pm and on Sunday 26th from 11am to 5pm.
